Carnaval de Nice: Bataille de Fleurs

The Carnaval de Nice officially opened on Friday.  On Saturday, D and I headed to the Promenade des Anglais to take in the Bataille de Fleurs (the Flower Parade).

As it was our first time we elected to buy tickets for reserved seats.  While we were both happy to have reserved spots in the tribune should we go to the carnival again I’m not sure if we would spend the extra money for the seats.  That said, we had a pretty good time at our first carnival in Nice.

Here are just a few photos from the bataille.  Enjoy!

Wonderful photos! We missed the parade, but saw a few people standing at bus stops, dressed as clowns. Looked like a great time!

      Thanks!
Oh, there were a lot of “clowns” in town on Saturday. The parade was nice and thankfully the day was sunny and warm.
